The 25th chapter of the Holy Quran is Surah Al-Furqan. The title of the surah means The Criterion. The name Al-furqan is taken from the first verse of the surah where the Holy Quran is portrayed as the book of criterion or Furkan. The 77 beautiful verses discuss many significant topics of Islam and clarify and answer the doubts and questions that were raised against the Holy Quran.

In the very first verse of the Surah Al-Furqan Allah states that Allah had sent down the Quran as a book of criterion on Muhammad (Pbuh) so that he can become a warner to the whole of humanity. Verses 4-9 answer many accusations that were raised against the book of criteria. In the surah, Allah further states that on the day of judgment false deities will deny any claim of divinity and blame their worshipers for doing shirk. The further verses discuss prophets including Musa, Nuh, Ad and Lut alaihissalam. Verses 59-60 informs us of the phases of creation. The last verses warn us against believing like deaf and blinds.

1. The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: One who recites this Surah, Allah will raise him on the Day of judgment as one who has believed that the hour is inevitable and there is no doubt in it; he will enter heaven without accounting.
2.The reciter will be able to strengthen his iman by becoming clear of misconceptions rose by unbelievers.
3.The reciter will understand that whenever it is hard to separate the truth from the false one should always look for answers to one’s confusions in the Quran.
4.In the Ayats 23-25 The All merciful Allah tells us that the people who were blasphemous and didn’t follow the straight path, their good deeds will not bring them any benefits in the day of judgment while the believers will enjoy the benefits of paradise; the wrongdoers will regret their deeds in the hereafter. This verse will make the reciter aware of the harsh punishments the disbelievers will get in the hereafter thus will encourage the reciter to follow Islam and its laws.
